I tested this 3.8-inch swimbait last fall and it turned the smallmouth bass on their heads. Not only do the ribs give the illusion of a larger baitfish profile, they also create fish-attracting vibrations. When rigged Tex-posed on a light jig head, the Jelly Shad was remarkably snag-proof around rocks and cabbage. And it continued to catch fish when I rigged it on its side.
