NUNAVUT
There are no roads to Nunavut, and few within the territory itself, making this is a true northern wilderness. The list of game animals for which there is a hunting season is impressive, including caribou, moose, muskox, wolves and polar, grizzly and black bears. Plus, the seasons are long and the bag limits generous. Caribou are Nunavut’s most sought after big-game, but the populations are not static, and mostly trending down. Hunters must consult the current hunting regulations, which are continually updated to maintain sustainable harvests.
