Details: Darcy Shawchek used his phone to light up the waterfalls before setting the exposure time on his camera to 30 seconds for this dramatic, otherworldly shot. Regrettably, he says, the site is in jeopardy of disappearing. “The waterfalls are on the banks of the Peace River directly upstream from the Site C dam construction,” Shawchek says. “The waterfall and many other hidden gems like the Coral Caves on the Peace will be destroyed when they flood the valley.”
