Have you ever used (or would you be inclined to use) an app to keep track of your fishing experiences? I was looking at something like iSportsman Journal on iTunes, which says you can: "Mark your favorite hunting or fishing spot, and leave yourself notes to remember. Includes photo logging, GPS and current weather conditions."

Hi Ken:
The bush I hunt has a trail through the middle about 10 feet wide. Why is all the deer signs on the east side of trail? I’m referring to rubs, scrapes and so on. For some reason, there are no markings on the west side.
Thanks,

Hi Ken:
I have a question about using steel shot for geese. With so many different fps speeds available (for ex. Remington at 1700 fps, Winchester Blind Side at 1400 fps, Federal Premium’s Black Cloud at 1500 fps and others at 1625 fps), how do...
Q:
Dear Ken,
I have a question about shooting slugs. I have a Remington 12-gauge pump shotgun, with a screw-in choke and a 26-inch barrel, and I use it primarily for turkey hunting. I was wondering: Is it possible to shoot slugs through this barrel...

Dear Ken,
My friend Sean Wadelius took this photo on the bank of the Fraser River, near Chilliwack B.C. What is the unusual “cow” pattern in the deer? Is it cross breeding?

Dear Ken,
I'm 13 and I just completed my PAL and HS requirements this spring. Now my dad is going to take me duck hunting in September, and grouse hunting in late October, and I'm very excited. I've been shooting guns for a few years now, but those...
Q:
Dear Gord,
I'm looking for a 12-foot boat. My question is: which boat will be best for an older couple: a Lund WC-12, a Princecraft Ungava or a Smokercraft Alaskan 12. In particular, we need a boat that’s stable and easy to get in and out...
Q:
Dear Gord,
I am 12 years old, I’m hooked on fishing, and I love your magazine. This year I was fishing in northern Ontario by Kenora, on a lake attached to the English River. While I was there I caught a mysterious fish. It looked like a goldeye...
Q:
Hi Gord,
I finally converted to braided line for most of my reels, and it’s been great. I especially like your tip about using paired Uni-Knots to tie the main braided line to a few feet of fluorocarbon for a leader. But now I have a questions...
Q:
Dear Gord,
Can you eat bowfin? They’re a great fighting fish, and early in the season we always catch a few in our lake just north of Parry Sound, Ontario. I've been wondering if we should try cooking them.
Thanks,

Q:
Dear Gord,
Is there a supplier of submersible thermometers in Ontario? Lake trout have been eluding me in a lake near my camp, and your tips in the March/April 2012 issue of the magazine about fishing just below the thermocline (“Trolling time...
