Tackle shop map
Anglers in Ontario, particularly those who regularly travel to new waters, are sure to find the map of the province’s bait and tackle shops and boat launches created by a 19-year-old angler from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, who goes by the screen name Xeon, a helpful reference. I stumbled across a link to the map on the Ontario Fishing Network discussion forum, an online community I regularly check out. Created using Google Maps in April 2009, the work-in-progress now boasts the locations of most of the major bait and tackle outlets in the province. The stores are marked on the map with fish icons, while the boat launches appear as anchor icons. Simply zoom in, out and scroll through the map to check things out, or click on the sites listed on the left-hand side of the screen to see their location on the map. Want to add a boat launch or bait/tackle shop to the map? Send Xeon a private message through the Ontario Fishing Network forum.
