Haverhill Boys FC Weekend Extravaganza 3.0: Day 1

July 20th, 2012 at 9:27 pm

Great afternoon! Scroll down for a few shots of some of today’s smallies on a certain unnamed lake somewhere on the Northern Bruce Peninsula. So went the first evening of the 3rd Haverhill Boys Fishing Club Weekend Extravaganza. The club members? Four fishing buddies who all happen to live on a street named Haverhill: me, Jon Baker, Phil Allison and Pat Trudell. We’re at Pat’s bro’s cottage; thanks Randy and Christine! (More thanks to Captain Randy for manning the tiller today.) What’s working? So far, Gulp! Gobies & Nuclear Nellies (drop shot, and Carolina-rigged) and the six-inch Flat Rap in my favourite colour, chrome. More tomorrow.

Flat Rap victim: Phil Allison tagged this bad boy

Sweet catch: Yours truly with a hefty specimen that fell for a drop-shotted Gulp! Goby.

First fish: Pat Trudell got things going with this tanned tub using a Gulp! Goby

Last fish: Yours truly with a last-list chunkster that hit my Nuclear Nellie, again on a drop-shot rig.
