2012 ATV guide

Although the world economy is in a state of constant wobble, the off-road vehicle industry continues to hold its own with steady sales of quads, as well as those side-by-sides once considered a passing fad. The latest sales figures show side-by-sides make up 40 per cent of the off-road market, with ongoing small but constant gains.

What does this mean for owners and buyers? Well, with competition in the industry at fierce levels, the costs of most ATVs and side-by-sides have never been better—price tags on a surprising number of models are several hundred dollars lower than last year. Manufacturers have also realized that, in order to maintain their particular market share, they must also fine-tune their products with state-of-the-art parts and technology.
